“The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed.”
― C.G. Jung
Relationships are central to our wellbeing and sense of personal fulfilment. At their core is communication. As a certified coach and psychotherapist with more than 15 years of experience specialising in relationships, I see my role as opening up a conversation about matters that clients find too difficult to deal with by themselves.
In my practice, I talk with people in partnerships of all types and at all stages: from the start of a romance, to couples seeking a mid-life MOT, to partners navigating separation and divorce.
I work with people grappling with issues like affairs, sexual disconnection, loss, lifestyle transition and the menopause, as well as behaviours like adult attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). My focus is on equipping people with the insight to meet the challenges they face, rather than ‘curing’ their problems.
I hold sessions with individuals, couples and groups, face-to-face and over Skype, and facilitate trainings. My approach is flexible and tailored to clients’ specific needs and circumstances. We decide together the best way forward during our initial consultation (see FAQs).
As a coach, I work with clients to identify and meet specific relationship goals over a short period of time. People interested in going deeper to unearth entrenched patterns come to me for psychotherapy over a longer period.
My practical experience is extensive. I am a founder member of Reframe Counselling in Canary Wharf and Mayfair, and the Relationship Clinic Sussex, based in Brighton.
Since obtaining an MSc in Psychosexual Therapy and an Individual and Couple Relationship Diploma from the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships in London, I have continued learning. My recent professional development includes courses in Systematic Constellation Therapy and Recognising Neuro Diversity. Through collaboration with colleagues in the UK and US, I continue to accrue new skills. And I am currently creating training modules for other counsellors and psychotherapists.
My professional memberships include COSRT (accredited), College of Sexual and Relationship Therapist, BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), and UKCP (UK Council of Psychotherapy).
